Forgotten Poem
So it starts here, in the midst of a sand storm.
Searing at most.
These eyes dried… Marbles, only larger.
Wheels spinning in a gray brain.
I have puncture marks, air leaks: a massive slow down. Plastic wrench in an imaginary machine.
Scrubbing the mold away. Letting the leaves of America pile to the sky.
An unlikely story. Those pretty pictures that float overhead.

It’s been raining since last night.. God do we need it. I could just stay inside for days listening to the rain hit the beer cans in the recycling bin… imagining i own a tin roof. Wishing i had a porch. Hoping the rain never stops.
Missing
I miss the Sun going down in the desert.
The chill of night under a gas station awning.
The low sound of sad country songs in a truck stop
I miss the deep breath and stretch after getting to the club
